Job Description
Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) is seeking a highly motivated Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to join the laboratory of Dr. Kamal Mandal. The selected candidate will work on an exciting research project focused on antibody engineering and zoonotic pathogen research, funded by the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on synthetic antibody engineering.
- Develop bispecific antibodies to combat zoonotic pathogens.
- Utilize advanced proteomics, molecular biology, and computational tools.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams.
- Publish research findings in reputed journals.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology or relevant life sciences discipline with at least 55% marks.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Candidates with CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE or other national-level exam qualifications will be preferred.
- Experience in proteomics, molecular biology, and computational tools (with programming skills).
- Strong communication skills.
- Opportunity to enroll in a PhD program at GBU (as per university policy).
Fellowship & Duration
- Fellowship Amount:
- ₹31,000/- + HRA (for NET/GATE/national exam-qualified candidates).
- ₹23,213/- fixed (for non-qualified candidates).
- Tenure: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance.
- Age Limit: Up to 30 years (as of the closing date).
